You can also set the zoom level to these maps as you like them, then quit the app, relaunch, and they will be remembered. You can also select the Large window style (in the app preferences) which will show you 2 maps side by side - the local and national view. Once you set the zoom level to how you like it, please quit the app immediately, then when you relaunch it will remember that zoom setting.
